Effective May 23, 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how Likert collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects personal information for users in the United States.
Information we collect
Likert may collect account details, sign-in information, profile fields, photos and media, compatibility and survey answers, location or availability signals, matches, messages, reports, support requests, device and log data, analytics consent choices, advertising identifiers when allowed, subscription status, and notification data.
How we use information
We use information to operate accounts, power discovery and matching, enable messaging, provide safety and moderation tools, respond to support requests, measure product performance, measure sponsored placements, prevent fraud and abuse, secure the service, comply with law, and improve Likert.
How we share information
We may share information with service providers, infrastructure vendors, authentication providers, analytics and advertising partners, Apple billing and subscription systems, moderation and support tooling, legal or safety recipients when required or appropriate, parties involved in a business transfer, and people or services you direct us to share with.
Sale, sharing, and advertising
Likert does not intentionally sell personal information in the traditional sense of exchanging user data for money. However, privacy laws define "sale," "sharing," and "targeted advertising" differently, and some advertising, measurement, sponsored-placement, analytics, or partner integrations may be considered a sale, sharing, or processing for targeted advertising under certain state laws. When ads or sponsored placements are enabled, Likert may disclose limited advertising, device, event, or measurement information to advertising and measurement partners, including information connected to advertising identifiers when permitted by your device settings and applicable law. We do not provide advertisers with private message content, raw compatibility answers, exact interest signals, or precise location for their independent use. You may contact privacy@likert.dating to request applicable privacy rights, including opt-out rights where available.
Your choices and rights
You can update profile information, manage discovery visibility, delete your account, choose whether to allow analytics, manage signed-in sale/sharing and targeted advertising choices in Settings, manage iOS AppTrackingTransparency choices, change notification settings, manage Apple subscriptions through Apple, and contact privacy@likert.dating to request access, correction, deletion, portability, opt out of sale/sharing or targeted advertising where applicable, appeal, or other state privacy rights where available.
Retention
Account deletion hides the account immediately and starts a 30-day recovery window. After that window, ordinary product data is deleted or anonymized, except where records must be retained for safety, fraud prevention, security, legal obligations, billing, moderation, support history, or dispute handling.
Security
We use technical, organizational, and access-control measures designed to protect information. No service can guarantee perfect security, but Likert limits internal access and works to keep sensitive records handled only for legitimate product, safety, support, legal, or security reasons.
Age limits
Likert is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. If we learn that an underage person created an account, we may restrict or remove the account and related information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Likert changes. If an update materially changes how we handle personal information, we will provide notice through the service or another reasonable method.
