Likert was created by Isaac Aiello, a creative from Gloucester, Massachusetts, who grew concerned with the way modern algorithms are designed to capture attention instead of improve people’s lives. After seeing how engagement loops can shape confidence, relationships, and decision-making, he started Likert to explore a different use for algorithmic technology.
