Likert Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
This policy supplements the Likert Privacy Policy and describes how Likert, Inc. handles consumer health data governed by Washington law.
Categories and sources
For Washington residents, consumer health data may include sexual or reproductive preferences, intimacy and sex-life preferences, family plans, substance or wellness-related answers, relevant private-message context, precise location that may reveal health-related activity, and compatibility or advertising inferences derived from those signals. Sources are information you provide, your device and location permissions, your interactions with other members, and inferences produced by Likert’s matching and safety systems.
Purposes for collection and use
Likert collects and uses these categories to provide compatibility and discovery, operate requested dating and messaging features, prevent fraud and abuse, support members, moderate safety risks, and select placements internally. Likert does not use consumer health data to determine eligibility for employment, credit, insurance, housing, or healthcare.
Recipient categories
Consumer health data may be processed by Likert and contracted service providers for infrastructure, storage, security, support, moderation, and service operations. Raw compatibility answers, raw private messages, precise location, and health-derived advertising categories are not disclosed to AdMob. Likert does not sell consumer health data. Any future sale would require a separate, specific authorization and would not be bundled with collection consent.
Collection consent
New Washington users must provide separate affirmative consent before Likert collects or uses qualifying consumer health data. This consent is separate from agreement to the Terms, acknowledgment of the general Privacy Policy, promotional-email choices, and any future sale authorization. Declining consent prevents account completion because current compatibility features require this processing.
Withdrawing consent
You may withdraw consent in authenticated Privacy Settings. Withdrawal immediately stops new consent-dependent collection and suspends compatibility, discovery, sensitive targeting, and messaging. It does not change moderation status. Privacy Settings, request history, export, appeal, and account-deletion tools remain available. Providing fresh consent to the current policy restores those features. Withdrawal does not affect processing already completed lawfully or retention required for security, legal obligations, or claims.
Your Washington rights
You may request confirmation of collection or sharing, access, deletion, or withdrawal of consent through Privacy Settings or privacy@likert.dating. We verify requests and generally respond within 45 days, with one additional 45-day extension when reasonably necessary. You may appeal a denial through the same channel. Deletion requests are sent to applicable processors, and archived backups remain isolated from ordinary use until deletion.
Retention
Qualifying account data follows the category-specific schedule in the Likert Privacy Policy: ordinary account and product data is deleted or anonymized after the 30-day account-deletion recovery period; location history is ordinarily kept 90 days; messages follow the account or conversation; moderation evidence is ordinarily kept two years after closure; and consent or rights records are kept seven years. Legal holds, child-safety duties, security needs, or law may require limited longer retention.
Changes to this policy
Material changes to the categories, purposes, or disclosures described here receive notice and renewed consent when required before the changed collection or use begins.
