Likert Photo Analysis Notice and Consent
Likert analyzes approved profile photos to create private face-shape and proportion measurements used to operate core matching and discovery features. These measurements may be considered biometric identifiers or biometric information under applicable law.
Photo analysis is a core part of Likert's matching and discovery service. Likert cannot provide a member account without this processing. By agreeing, you authorize Likert to collect, capture, process, store, and use the photo-derived measurements described in this notice.
This notice supplements the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
What happens
Only after you affirmatively consent, Likert uses MediaPipe face and pose landmark models to analyze approved profile photos and derive a coarse face shape and relative face and body proportions. Depending on applicable law, this face geometry and related information may be considered a biometric identifier or biometric information.
Why Likert does this
Likert uses the derived measurements for matching and discovery personalization, photo quality and moderation, member safety, and limited evaluation of system reliability and fairness.
What is stored
Likert stores derived classifications, face and body ratios, confidence values, a fingerprint of the approved photo set, and the analysis model and version. Likert does not retain raw face or pose landmarks or segmentation masks.
What Likert does not do
Likert does not use this analysis to identify or authenticate you, compare or search for faces, create a biometric identity template, infer race, ethnicity, age, gender, health, personality, or other demographics, target advertising, or train general-purpose AI. Likert never sells, leases, trades, or otherwise profits from the derived information.
Who may access it and service providers
Access is limited to restricted Likert systems, authorized staff who need diagnostics for the purposes described above, and contracted infrastructure, database, storage, security, or support providers that need the information to provide those services. MediaPipe runs on Likert-controlled infrastructure; Google does not receive your photos or derived measurements through MediaPipe. Current provider categories and purposes are listed in Likert's Service Providers and SDKs catalog.
Retention and permanent deletion
We permanently delete live derived measurements when you withdraw consent, replace the relevant approved photos, delete your account, or when the measurements are no longer necessary for the stated purposes. In all cases, we delete them no later than two years after your last interaction with Likert, whichever occurs first. Deleted information may remain temporarily in protected backups for no more than 90 days, will remain isolated from ordinary use, and will not be restored for active use.
Your rights and withdrawing consent
You may request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy of your information; withdraw this consent; and appeal a denied privacy request through Privacy Settings or by emailing privacy@likert.dating. Withdrawal immediately stops new photo analysis, hides your profile from discovery, removes live derived measurements, and restricts member features. You may consent again later to restore access.
Security and permitted disclosures
Likert applies access controls and protections at least as strong as those used for other sensitive information. Likert discloses derived information only to a contracted provider needed for a stated purpose, when you direct us to, or when disclosure is required by law.
Material changes
If Likert proposes a materially different purpose or disclosure, Likert will update this notice and obtain fresh consent when required before the changed processing begins.
Adults only
Likert is for adults 18 and older. Likert does not knowingly analyze profile photos belonging to anyone under 18.
